Requirements
- 2-3 years of industry experience, ideally in an agency setting
- Experience delivering programs in public relations, marketing, or communications with background in digital and social media, materials development, media relations, and partnership outreach
- Proficient in media writing and pitching experience with a proven track record of successful media outreach and a network of relationships with top tier media contacts
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
- Has project management skills; able to manage multiple parties to complete tasks and deliver quality outcomes for projects
- Willingness to take on complex challenges and work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Supports the team with day-to-day client interaction
- Plays a major role in the research, planning, and development of comprehensive Communications Marketing campaigns
- Helps to track budgets and scopes, assessing estimates to actuals & managing changes as needed
- Coordinate team meetings and client presentations
- Be the organizational center of projects
- Challenges the status-quo seeking alternate approaches to developing solutions and strategies
- Researching, writing, and helping to develop communications plans, campaign materials including brochures, videos, web copy, social media, and memos
- Assists with media relations efforts and partnership outreach
- Manages client objectives, expectations and timelines and communicating changes/directions to internal team members
- Oversees quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline adherence
- Demonstrates proficiency in writing skills to craft internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, new business proposals, etc
- Demonstrates tactical proficiency in creating and driving outreach plans, message development, management of events, growth of contact network and effective pitching and training of spokespersons on speeches and presentations
