Red Ventures is looking for a Writer who will be responsible for contributing to and executing on strategy for mortgage content on Bankrate.com. This writer will use SEO and editorial best practices to produce articles that are highly visible on organic search. The right candidate will be accountable to hitting monthly production goals while maintaining our high quality standards. This person will also be expected to manage competing priorities and work closely with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Research and write mortgage content for a consumer-facing audience
• Hit monthly production goals while maintaining high quality standards
• Actively develop subject matter expertise by following competitors and monitoring industry news and trends
• Work closely with other teams teams (SEO, link-building, business analysts, etc.) to understand and execute the content strategy

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of writing or editing consumer-focused content, preferably within the personal finance space
• Strong knowledge of mortgages and the homebuying process
• Ability to write consumer-focused content based on SEO concepts and best practices
• Excellent research, writing and editorial skills, with the ability to respond to edits
• Ability to collaborate with content and marketing teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback
• Ability to work closely with a team and individually as needed
• Experience with AP Style

Compensation: 

• Cash compensation range: $50,000-$96,000*
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
