Requirements
  • Ph.D. candidate or Masters in engineering fields such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics a related STEM field with an expectation that degree will be obtained by July 2024 or earlier
  • Experienced programming skills and proficient with C/C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of image and video compression and processing
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication (both oral, written, and interpersonal)
Responsibilities
  • Research on latest video compression technologies
  • Design and prototype new algorithms in software video codec
  • Evaluate and potentially integrate leading industry hardware codec
  • Research and development on video quality measurement
  • Participate in design and development of Zoom video products
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiar with video coding standards such as H.264, HEVC, AV1.
  • Familiar with multimedia streaming/data processing flow
  • Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Caffe
  • Experience on CNN network structure optimization and acceleration
