Requirements
  • Possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
  • Possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Read technical procedures and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
  • Apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
  • Possess leadership and supervisory ability to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary to provide quality care.
  • Possess a current CPR certification.
  • Maintain required continuing education and licensing and remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Lift, push, pull, move, and carry at least 25 pounds as specified in the physical demands.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
  • Direct day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and ensure assigned nursing personnel follow facility policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
  • Coordinate nursing services with resident services and participate in quality assurance activities, facility surveys, and discharge planning.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; complete required medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, incident reports, charge slips, and census reports.
  • Complete, maintain, and sign resident medical records, including admission, transfer, discharge, treatment, medication, diet, and incident documentation.
  • Prepare and administer medications and treatments as ordered; verify resident identity; maintain medication, narcotic, and supply records; and report discrepancies.
  • Develop work assignments, monitor assigned nursing personnel, conduct rounds, report staffing or performance concerns to the Nurse Supervisor, and provide shift leadership.
  • Coordinate admissions, physician rounds, diagnostic and therapeutic services, resident care, treatment, rehabilitation, and communication with physicians and family members.
  • Perform clinical nursing services including catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage-bag care, specimen collection, vital-sign measurement, range-of-motion exercises, and end-of-life care as required.
  • Review and maintain resident care plans, ensure certified nursing assistants follow care plans, and assist with Minimum Data Set assessments, Resident Assessment Protocols, and triggers.
  • Participate in staff orientation, in-service training, continuing education, infection-control activities, safety procedures, and disaster-preparedness drills.
  • Maintain safe, clean, sanitary nursing areas; ensure appropriate use of personal protective equipment; and monitor infection-control and safety compliance.
  • Maintain adequate unit medication, medical-supply, and equipment stock; recommend supply needs; and ensure equipment is safely operated.
  • Provide requested data to the Quality Assurance and Assessment Committee.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego. Dr Conway currently serves as CEO of Optum, UnitedHealth Group's health services division with revenues exceeding $200 billion.
