Job Summary
The Louisiana State University Integrative Community Studies (ICS) Program, housed within the Lutrill & Pearl Payne School of Education, promotes independent living, employment opportunities, and social interaction for individuals with moderate disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The goal of the LSU ICS Program is to provide a life-changing university living experience for individuals enrolled in the program. The ICS Program Manager will be responsible for the overall operations and management of ICS including. The Program Manager will work alongside the School of Education Special Education faculty liaison and other administrative units within the college and university (i.e. Registrar, Bursar, Residential Life).
Job Responsibilities
50% Oversees delivery of the overall postsecondary education program and its day-to-day activities in accordance with the mission and goals of LSU ICS. Trains applicable staff and supervises their work performance, counseling as necessary and fosters and maintains a team-focused, supportive attitude within the staff.
20% Directs recruitment efforts of all ICS program students. Administers the student application process, with guidance from the ICS director and College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE)/School of Education (SOE) administrators.
15% Provides input for the annual ICS budget in collaboration with the CHSE/SOE/ICS administrators. Supports ongoing programmatic research in collaboration with the ICS director. Supports external funding efforts in collaboration with the ICS director.
5% Oversees community relations events. Effectively and regularly communicates with families of LSU ICS program students. Manages ICS external and internal communications.
5% Oversees the scheduling and course of study for each ICS student.
5% Other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Special Education or Related Field
3 years experience in secondary special education transition planning.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree in Special Education, Education Leadership or related Field
Two years of directing transition programming at the high school level and one year of experience in college/university transition programming.
Special Education or Vocational Rehabilitation.
Special Education teacher certification, preferably at the secondary level.
