  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil or similar)
  • 4 years to 10 years’ experience in related field; experience within construction, industrial, municipal or mining industries preferred
  • High-level of proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent ability to communicate in English (other European languages are a plus)
  • Good understanding of technical and commercial risks involved in the design and development of solutions
  • Solid understanding of the sales process and how organizational role influences outcome
  • Working understanding of contractual terms and conditions
  • Competency in multiple standard equipment platforms (Flygt, Wedeco and Lowara) and their employment
  • Thorough understanding of common components and their application
  • Good understanding of pricing and financial principles as related to lifecycle services and/or long-term contractual arrangements
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently with initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel frequently for performing joint commercial discovery visits/site audits with commercial teams
Responsibilities
  • Provides inputs to drive the design of the technical solution/build appropriate solution based on customer requirements and site specific considerations
  • Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing and pricing
  • Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels
  • Accompanies and assists commercial teams on customer site visits – where a site appraisal/feasibility study is required
  • Plays an active role in the safety culture of the company, ensuring the safety of oneself and the safety of others
  • Administers and reviews submittal documents that have been prepared for customers and/or tenders
  • Coordinates with a wide spectrum of stakeholders to adhere to strict customer project timelines
  • Identifies opportunities to vertically integrate xylem products to be able to deliver end-to-end engineered solutions
  • Builds and nurtures relationships with key stakeholders within all of Xylem Europe’s commercial teams
  • Stays informed on changes to EU legislation that will drive product and market/application opportunities
  • Drives continuous improvement in how we design, cost, price and contract long-term outcome/performance contracts
