Who's hiring in sports tech: aug 11 - aug 18, 2026. August 18, 2026 Week at a glance. NBCUniversal Quick takeaways. * NBCUniversal leads with 57 open roles this week * Top 5 companies account for 210 of 739 total postings * 15 companies actively hiring in sports tech Who's hiring in sports tech: august 11 - august 18, 2026. This week in sports tech, the hiring market is buzzing with 739 open roles across a mix of industry giants, innovative startups, and digital-first disruptors. Whether you're a designer, marketer, engineer, or healthcare professional, there's no shortage of opportunities to break into - or level up in - the space. Let's dive into who's growing their teams and what it means for your job search. The heavy hitters: who's staffing up fast. NBCUniversal leads the pack with 57 openings, signaling major investments in its sports and Olympics divisions. Roles like Coordinator, Trade Marketing - Sports & Olympics and Sr. Counsel, Consumer Protection Compliance suggest the company is ramping up for high-profile events and expanding its legal and marketing infrastructure. If you've got experience in media, sponsorships, or compliance, this is a prime time to explore NBCU's pipeline. Nike isn't far behind with 55 roles, blending retail, design, and global operations. Openings like Lead Designer, NikeSKIMS Apparel Graphics and Full Time Athlete/Retail Associate in Australia highlight the brand's push into new product lines and international markets. For creatives and retail professionals, Nike's hiring spree reflects its ongoing dominance in athletic apparel and its appetite for localized talent. Alo Yoga (46 openings) and On (28 openings) are also making waves. Alo's roles - like Visual Lead - North Park Center and Sales & Service Lead - Edinburgh - point to aggressive retail expansion, while On's focus on Digital Site Merchandising and Footwear Development underscores its tech-driven approach to product innovation. Both brands are betting big on omnichannel growth, making them ideal targets for retail, design, and e-commerce specialists. Health, gaming, and the startup surge. Beyond the household names, two sectors are heating up: mental health in sports and gaming-adjacent tech. Equip (24 openings) and Charlie Health (21 openings) are rapidly scaling their telehealth teams, with roles like Registered Dietitian - Eating Disorders and Territory Manager (Hospitals). The demand for remote healthcare professionals signals a broader trend: sports-adjacent wellness is no longer niche - it's a core part of the industry's future. On the gaming side, Roblox (21 openings) is quietly building its sports and avatar ecosystems. Roles like Software Engineer, Foundation AI and Engineering Manager - Subscriptions hint at deeper integrations between gaming, virtual identity, and real-world sports. Meanwhile, Keywords Studios (13 openings) is staffing up for global operations, with roles in Tokyo and the Philippines, proving that localization and outsourcing remain critical for scaling digital experiences. What this means for your job search. For job seekers, this week's data reveals three key takeaways: * Enterprise vs. Startup Tradeoffs: Giants like Nike and NBCU offer stability and brand recognition, but startups like Equip and Gympass (22 openings) provide faster growth trajectories and remote-friendly roles. Decide whether you prioritize scale or agility. * Geographic Flexibility: Remote roles dominate in healthcare and tech (e.g., Equip's telehealth positions), while retail and operations jobs (e.g., Alo's Edinburgh lead) favor in-person or hybrid models. Tailor your search to your location preferences. * Emerging Niches: Mental health, gaming, and digital merchandising are the fastest-growing subsectors. If you're pivoting into sports tech, upskilling in these areas could give you a competitive edge. With 739 openings this week alone, the sports tech job market is thriving - but competition is fierce. Target companies aligned with your skills and values, and don't overlook the startups: today's 20-person team could be tomorrow's industry leader. Happy hunting! Action plan for job seekers. Headspace adds referral partners for autism, eating disorders, and high-acuity care. Published. August 12, 2026 Headspace has established referral partnerships with Charlie Health, Cortica, Prosper Health, and Equip, giving members and their families more direct pathways to specialty mental healthcare. The partnerships cover autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions, eating disorders, substance use, and mental health needs requiring more intensive support than weekly therapy. They are available to members receiving care through Headspace's employee assistance program and through other employer and consumer channels. Nearly one-third of Headspace referral requests over the past year involved high-need specialty care. The company has provided more than three million care sessions through employers and health plans over the past decade and is supported by a network of more than 65,000 clinicians. When a Headspace therapist, psychiatrist, or coach determines that specialty care is appropriate, the company's Referral Coordination team will explain the available options and arrange a handoff to one of the partner organizations. Charlie Health provides virtual intensive outpatient programs for people ages 8 to 64 with serious mental health conditions, addiction, or co-occurring needs. Cortica offers diagnostic and multidisciplinary care for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Prosper Health provides virtual autism evaluations, therapy, and post-diagnosis support for neurodivergent adults. Equip delivers virtual eating disorder care through teams that can include therapists, dietitians, medical providers, and coaches. "Families seeking autism evaluations, eating disorder treatment, or intensive outpatient care are often navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives," said Headspace Chief Clinical Officer Jenna Glover, PhD. "They deserve a clear path to care, not a confusing search process."
