- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of construction engineering experience is required.
- Beginner knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and standards applicable to the project is required.
- Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively with others is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Review contracts and specifications in their entirety.
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent as requested.
- Assist with schedule preparations and updates.
- Assist with quantity reporting, project costs, and forecasting.
- Obtain pricing from subcontractors and vendors for change orders.
- Requisition equipment and material deliveries as required.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce to resolve project challenges and conflicts.
- Assist with monthly billing, cash flow projections, and change order processing.
- Manage document control, including submittal schedules, contract documents, and project record drawings.
- Review Heavy Job daily reports for accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain the technical submittal list, NPDES permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, and Project Progress Schedule as required.
- Comply with notice requirements for inspections, survey staking, joint measurements with the owner or engineer, utility locations and adjustments, testing, and claims.
- Issue correspondence to subcontractors and vendors when revised plans or specifications affect products or services.
- Assist with project closeout.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management.
