The Technical Solutions team enables Datadog’s worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring that existing customers are getting the most out of Datadog’s products. As a Data Analyst in the Technical Solutions (TS) department, you will help Sales Engineering, Support Engineering and Technical Post Sales be data driven in their day to day work in order for them to offer a first-class support experience for all Datadog customers. As part of this, you will overhaul all processes requiring data and analytics, and help initiate data-driven change. You will be part of the internal Technical Solutions Operations team and will join a broader Data Analyst community across the company and have the opportunity to grow and use cutting edge analytics tools.

What You’ll Do: 

• Build actionable data reports and visualizations that will help the TS Leadership and the TS Operations teams, and facilitate data-driven strategic decision-making
• Build actionable, well documented, and easy-to-use data models with dbt
• Run deep data analyses and investigations
• Present findings to managers and executives
• Train other employees to use data to answer questions without assistance

Who You Are:

• You have a BS/MS/PhD in a Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent professional experience
• You are fluent in writing analytical SQL, are able to write complex queries with no assistance, and have used Business Intelligence tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau
• You are a clear, concise communicator who is able to explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways
• You are curious and have an investigative mindset - driven to know “why”
• You have experience working with large customer and product data
• (Senior Level) You have 5+ years of related analytics experience and are familiar with data management in warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $128,000 - $187,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
