Cordavis, a wholly owned subsidiary of CVS Health, will work directly with manufacturers to commercialize and/or co-produce biosimilar products (an FDA approved biologic medication that is highly similar to, and has no clinically meaningful differences from, a biologic medicine already approved by the FDA) for the U.S. pharmaceutical market. The Cordavis products will be FDA approved, high quality and easy for patients to use and will help ensure consistent long-term supply of affordable biosimilars.
The Executive Director of US Cordavis will be responsible for the US-based Cordavis distribution and strategic decisions. They will serve as both the internal and external facing role overseeing the CVS-relationship with Cordavis which is headquartered in Ireland. They will also serve as the key decision maker for all sales and distribution for US-based Cordavis functions.
The role will oversee and make the key decisions for the US-based Cordavis operations including supply chain product movement, quality, compliance, licensing, trade and contracting, customer support, and financial operational support. As Executive Director you will build and manage a cohesive team, driving the success of operations, ensuring the team feels a sense of pride, ownership, and excitement for the work they do.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and execute the strategy to distribute Cordavis product in the US;
- Serve as the key decision maker for all sales and distribution for US-based Cordavis functions;
- Serve as the key relationship owner with wholesaler partners and third party logistics (3PL) providers;
- Liaise and work alongside key internal CVS stakeholders including quality, compliance, legal, customs, trade, supply chain;
- Responsible for forecasting of inbound and outbound shipment and managing inventory;
- Oversee all financial obligations including vendor and product payment, managing the budget, accounts payables, DSA fees, etc.; and
- Confirm all compliance requirements are met including DSCSA, temperature management, and recalls.
- Develop an internal facing team to operate to the maximum extent of their potential and create true ownership of the tactical distribution strategies.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 15 years in healthcare
- 10+ years of experience in negotiating within the healthcare space, specifically pharmaceutical manufacturer, or pharmaceutical wholesaler
- Strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge (e.g drug pricing policies, industry trends, pharmaceutical distribution)
- Proven ability to grow a business with btb distribution channels
- People management experience
- Pharmaceutical supply chain knowledge will be valued
- Strong financial acumen
- Understanding of biosimilars will be highly valued
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Proven ability to interact effectively with executive management
- Experience in executive analytics, designing and building executive-level, analytic convincing business presentations.
- Remote with some travel
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
