Requirements
  • BA/BS in Business or Accounting
  • CPA and public accounting experience
  • Experience with NetSuite and its advanced revenue module (ARM)
  • Excellent knowledge of Software Recurring Revenue recognition, including ASC 606
  • Experience working with SFDC
  • Experience with managing direct reports/staff
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in revenue recognition
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
  • Review, perform, and support revenue activities such as month-end close reporting and accounting processes in NetSuite
  • Oversee monthly revenue flux reporting and conduct ad-hoc analysis for review by the Controller and CFO
  • Generate monthly ASC 606 revenue reports, ensuring recognized revenue, deferred revenue, and adjustments are accurate and compliant with accounting standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing, accounting, and reporting in line with policies and US GAAP
  • Prepare technical revenue memos and Standard Operating Procedure documentation on revenue
  • Work seamlessly with Sales, Account Management, Sales Operations, and Legal teams to manage the accounting of sales contracts
  • Maintain and monitor internal controls with a robust review process for client revenue recognition, unbilled, and deferred revenue
  • Manage a team of two revenue accountants, ensuring effective collaboration, development, and task delegation
  • Continually identify and implement efficient procedures and processes
  • Provide audit support for revenue, unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, and reserves
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to provide ad-hoc reports and revenue forecasting inputs
  • Create the client CECL and reserves analysis and entries
  • Take on new projects supporting a fast-growing company, including international structure, and automation of approval processes
