Requirements
- At least one year of equivalent experience providing services to individuals in need, or a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a directly related human service field from a college or university accredited by the United States Department of Education, is required.
- For positions working with the Department of Child Services, at least four years of equivalent experience providing services to individuals in need is required; the experience must involve direct child welfare and/or protection work, or the candidate must have the specified Bachelor's degree.
- The candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record meeting the organization's guidelines and requirements.
- The candidate must be able to use a private car to transport themselves and others.
- The candidate must complete a drug screen, tuberculosis test, and extensive background checks, including criminal history, sex offender registry, state central registry, education verification, and professional references.
Responsibilities
- Use a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach to teach adults living with serious mental illness the skills needed to reach their individual recovery goals.
- Provide services primarily in home and community settings.
- Travel within an assigned local geographic area.
