Requirements
  • A valid First Responder Certification, AEMCA, completion of the first year of a Paramedic Diploma, or Firefighter status with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
  • A valid Basic Life Support certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level HCP certification.
  • A valid G class driving license.
  • The ability to remain calm in an emergency situation.
  • The ability to lift more than 250 pounds using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • A safe driving record with a clean driving history.
  • The ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 vaccination with two doses, and a TB Skin Test Step 1 valid within the last 12 months.
Responsibilities
  • Safely transport patients by stretcher or wheelchair to and from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and relevant parties.
