Requirements
  • One to two years of experience with federal grants and/or cooperative agreements under CFR Title 2 Grants and Agreements.
  • A relevant professional certification, such as Professional Engineer, Certified Floodplain Manager, Architect, Professional Certified Marketer, or Project Management Professional.
  • Knowledge of federal- and state-funded grant programs and initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience applying 2 CFR 200 grants and agreements procurement and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve a wide variety of grant administration issues and problems.
  • Experience addressing strategic issues in grant administration operations, including issues with complex political and programmatic elements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in business, public policy, or public administration.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with compliance related to grants and agreements policies and guidance.
  • Assist in drafting grant requirements, selection criteria, and applications.
  • Support internal review and approval according to agency processes and policies.
  • Prepare award documents and supporting documentation according to agency policies and procedures.
  • Monitor execution to ensure funding is used consistently with specified allowable uses and grant policies in grant agreements.
  • Assist in monitoring internal controls for grants and agreements to ensure accountability and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Support client agencies with required reporting according to agency policies and procedures.
  • Support client agencies with audit compliance and resolution.
