The Chemistry Department is seeking to hire part-time student assistants to work with various aspects of their online General Chemistry eBook project. The duties of the Assistants are to:
Selected candidates need to have a chemistry background and should be comfortable with computers. They must also be willing to learn new computer programs. General knowledge of web-based applications is preferred. The project is well suited for students who are interested in chemical education and would like to explore options for the best way to present chemical information to students.
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
