SEE Your Future at Schonfeld
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a diverse group of talented 2nd and 3rd year PhD students to join the 2023 Schonfeld Early Engagement (SEE) Summit – PhD Track. During this one-day interactive event, you will discover how you can apply your academic skills to the real world of finance. The program is scheduled to take place on Friday, April 14, 2023, in New York City. Travel and lodging will be covered for students outside of the tri-state area.
Attending the SEE Summit you will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive “datathon” leveraging real world datasets. You will work with a team of your peers and Schonfeld portfolio managers/researchers for a chance to win a Schonfeld prize! Throughout the day you will also acquire knowledge while engaging with senior leaders, through networking with other graduates and by being immersed in the culture and atmosphere of Schonfeld.
After attending SEE, you will have gained valuable knowledge about our business, built lasting relationships, and feel prepared to apply for our summer internships - all while experiencing life at Schonfeld and our welcoming community.

Our Internship
The Schonfeld summer internship provides students with a unique opportunity to experience Schonfeld, our work, our people, and our culture. Interns will typically join a small team and will spend 10 weeks at Schonfeld from June - August.
Each summer intern will work on a tailored project that will provide them with real world experience. We provide all interns with a dedicated mentor and manager to help them navigate the summer successfully. Interns will also participate in our learning program, the Sapphire: Summer Session, which aims to provide tangible skills training and education on various functions across the firm and in the workplace. Along with the hands-on guidance and support from managers and mentors, interns will participate in weekly networking events, engage with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Alliance, attend panel discussions, and have many opportunities to get to know Schonfeld’s core values in practice.
