Requirements
  • Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania, active and in good standing.
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure medications dispensed are clinically appropriate
  • Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy
  • Provide accurate and timely drug information to providers and customer facilities
  • Check for completeness and precision of all new and refill labels and orders.
  • Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.
  • Prepare and/or provide supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, as required.
  • Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.
  • Be knowledgeable of DEA and state law with regards to controlled drug dispensing.
  • Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed by the business
  • Follow all applicable state and government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned (these vary by location).
