Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or marketing operations.
  • Deep hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable platform such as Klaviyo, Listrak, or Mailchimp, including workflows, lifecycle stages, custom properties, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) and equivalent obligations in the United States.
  • Lead generation or lead funnel experience with an understanding of lifecycle stages.
  • Practical understanding of attribution and data hygiene inside a customer relationship management system.
  • A track record of building email or nurture programs that produced measurable results.
Responsibilities
  • Build and run the email program across the course business, software funnel, and training platform learner communications, including a general subscription program and a new capture mechanism.
  • Build audience segments and customer journeys, defining group membership, relevant interests, and communications at each stage.
  • Own consent and compliance under CASL and CAN-SPAM as an ongoing practice.
  • Own lifecycle stages, properties, workflows, and reporting in HubSpot as the system of record.
  • Maintain lead-data accuracy so records are added and staged correctly and the funnel remains trustworthy.
  • Build defensible attribution for email-generated leads and course revenue.
  • Build reporting and scoreboards used by leadership for decision-making and ensure the numbers are accurate.
  • Automate lead routing and manage outbound lead flow from an external partner into company systems.
  • Work across product and web teams on system-side email, including course launches, abandoned carts, and upsells, while keeping tracking consistent across properties.
  • Protect reseller cross-branding so partner customers do not receive email promoting BIS over the partner.
  • Engage outside specialists for technical or copy work when appropriate and review their output before publication.
Desired Qualifications
  • B2B SaaS experience where the lead is the conversion.
  • Experience running both a consumer or e-commerce funnel and a B2B funnel at the same company.
  • Integration experience with application programming interfaces, Zapier, or data movement between disconnected systems.
  • Experience migrating or consolidating marketing platforms.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools for analysis, quality assurance, copy, or build work.
  • Experience building an email program from scratch.
  • Experience building multiple behavior-driven trigger and audience-based flows.
  • Experience managing lists ranging from thousands to tens of thousands with distinct segments and stage-specific content.
  • Experience untangling and rebuilding an incoherent customer relationship management system.
  • Ability to build directly in the marketing platform, including writing workflows and setting properties.
  • Strong data analysis ability for marketing systems.
  • Ability to distinguish software buyers from course buyers and build appropriate programs.
  • Knowledge of consent and deliverability practices.
  • Ability to review outgoing communications for errors and broken links.
  • Ability to work across teams to define integration objectives and deliver them without writing the code personally.
