Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of sales experience as a territory manager in medical devices; cardiovascular interventional experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the contracting process and in-depth knowledge of the VAC process.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles.
  • Strong influencing skills to represent the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and balanced decision-making.
  • Ability to independently manage time and resources within assigned strategic accounts in conjunction with near-term plans to further business goals.
  • Must not be debarred by the Food and Drug Administration for work in any medical device business.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to operate as part of a team and independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.
  • Ability to tolerate continuous sitting for prolonged periods, more than two consecutive hours in an eight-hour day.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with key individuals at hospital-level customers.
  • Execute initiatives by translating strategy from the integrated delivery network level to the hospital or account level.
  • Drive innovative solutions and partnerships within targeted accounts and customers.
  • Work with sales leaders and sales teams to increase prospects and drive closure of opportunities.
  • Navigate the VAC approval process for new products and influence VAC members.
  • Anticipate customer needs, marketplace evolutions, and competitive threats.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on overall strategy, marketing content creation, and external tactics.
  • Manage multiple priorities to support and advance business strategies.
  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with influential individuals in the cardiovascular interventional space and foster long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Measure and assess the impact of key opinion leader engagements and convey results to cross-functional teams to refine market access strategies.
  • Articulate the complete value proposition, including clinical, reimbursement, health economics, and pricing, to key strategic accounts.
  • Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge and speak clinically with physicians at a high level.
  • Maintain company standards involving ethical and moral conduct while professionally representing the company.
  • Comply with corporate compliance, Food and Drug Administration, medical device, quality, and ethics standards.
  • Travel domestically up to 50%.

  • Successful sales experience in catheter technology involving occlusive vascular disease, endovascular procedures, atherectomy, stents, or coronary sales with peripheral influence.
  • Cardiovascular interventional medical device sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the VAC process.
