Weather satellite company Tomorrow.io today announced that it has raised $35 million from existing Israeli partner Pitango, and their partners Harel Insurance, joining Stonecourt Capital and HarbourVest Partners, and bringing the company's previously announced Series F financing round to $210 million. The investment reflects a multi-year partnership and deepening conviction in Tomorrow.io's role as critical AI weather intelligence infrastructure for organizations operating in an increasingly volatile world. The funds raised this year will support the planned deployment of DeepSky, the world's first AI-native weather satellite constellation, alongside broader investments in its space infrastructure and the advancement of its AI-driven platform. The additional capital will accelerate AI capabilities, expand the company's space-based observation network, and advance development of its agentic platform to deliver real-time, actionable resilience intelligence at a global scale. The company was founded by CEO Shimon Elkabetz, CSO Rei Goffer and COO Itai Zlotnik. Headquartered in Boston, the company has its development center in Tel Aviv. Elkabetz said, "Weather is one of the most powerful forces shaping the global economy, yet it remains one of the least fully integrated into how decisions are made. Tomorrow.io, a Boston-based weather intelligence provider, has added $35 million to its Series F funding round, bringing the total to $210 million. The additional capital came from existing investor Pitango and Harel Insurance. The funding will accelerate development of Tomorrow.io's DeepSky constellation, which will feature significantly larger satellites than its current Gen1 network of 11 cubesats. The new satellites will carry multiple co-located sensors to gather atmospheric data at higher quality. The company will also use the funds to develop an "agentic" AI platform that converts weather data into real-time operational guidance. Tomorrow.io aims to provide proprietary atmospheric data for AI models serving industries including aviation, energy, logistics and government. Private equity investors Stonecourt Capital and HarbourVest Partners led the original Series F round announced in February.
Weather intelligence unicorn Tomorrow.io expands Series F to $210 million with $35 million in new funding. New capital to accelerate DeepSky satellite constellation and agentic AI development. 15:00, 18.05.26 Tomorrow.io, the American company founded by Israelis that develops high-precision weather forecasting systems, announced on Monday an additional $35 million in funding from Pitango, alongside partners Harel Group, HarbourVest, and Stonecourt. As a result, the company's Series F round has reached $210 million. The funding follows a $175 million round announced by the company earlier this year and is intended to support the deployment of DeepSky, a commercial satellite constellation built for the AI era, as well as investments in space infrastructure and platform development. The additional capital will be used to accelerate AI capabilities, expand the satellite observation network, and develop the company's agentic AI platform, with the aim of delivering real-time operational intelligence on a global scale. Weather disruptions are increasingly affecting the operations of organizations across a wide range of industries, raising the complexity of decision-making and resource allocation. At the same time, the widespread adoption of AI technologies is creating a growing need for high-quality, proprietary, real-time data. "Weather is one of the most powerful forces shaping the global economy, yet it remains one of the least fully integrated into how decisions are made," said Shimon Elkabetz, CEO and Co-Founder of Tomorrow.io. "Tomorrow.io was built to change that by transforming how the planet is observed and turning data into real-time, actionable intelligence. As AI becomes embedded in operations, that capability becomes foundational. With Pitango's continued partnership, we are accelerating Tomorrow.io into the infrastructure layer organizations depend on every day." The company, formerly known as ClimaCell, was founded in 2016 by three Israeli entrepreneurs: Shimon Elkabetz, Rei Goffer and Itai Zlotnik. All three are veterans of elite IDF units and established the company out of the belief that accurate weather intelligence is essential for operational, economic, and national-security decision-making. With the current fundraising, the company's total capital raised stands at approximately $535 million. The company employs over 150 people, including a small number in Israel.
