Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in analog circuit design, including at least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in designing and owning complex analog intellectual properties and sub-blocks, including charge pumps, buck converters, source-sink low-dropout regulators, oscillators, temperature sensors, current sensing circuits, successive-approximation-register analog-to-digital converters, protection circuits, bandgap references, voltage-to-current circuits, analog buffers, operational amplifiers, comparators, and high-speed level shifters.
  • In-depth understanding of analog and control feedback loops, including implementation, compensation, compensation-strategy trade-offs, and control-loop architectures.
  • Ability to derive block-level specifications from top-level chip requirements, independently design complete switching converters and low-dropout regulators, and perform block-level error budgeting.
  • Knowledge of analog layout, floor planning, chip-top completion, verification, and performance trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with standard design, extraction, and simulation flows and tools, including pre- and post-parasitic simulation, simulator optimization, debugging, and tool-flow troubleshooting.
  • Experience setting up design flows and methodologies, including checklists and reviews, to ensure design quality and silicon success.
  • Experience with end-to-end integrated-circuit development, silicon debugging, validation, qualification support, and taking integrated circuits to production.
  • In-depth understanding of electrostatic discharge, latch-up, and other integrated-circuit-level issues, including defining input/output-ring protection.
Responsibilities
  • Design and own complex analog intellectual properties and sub-blocks for power-management integrated circuits.
  • Integrate intellectual properties and subsystems and own smaller integrated circuits and major intellectual properties in large power-management integrated circuits.
  • Implement and compensate control loops and analog feedback loops and select appropriate compensation strategies.
  • Build and support block-level specification breakdowns from top-level chip requirements.
  • Design complete switching converters, including buck, boost, and buck-boost converters, as well as low-dropout regulators.
  • Improve designs with innovative ideas to meet challenging specifications.
  • Work with the layout lead from floor planning through chip-top completion and verification.
  • Optimize design and simulation setups for speed, convergence, and accuracy, including pre- and post-parasitic flows.
  • Set up design flows and methodologies, checklists, and reviews to ensure quality designs and successful silicon.
  • Mentor freshers and junior engineers to improve their technical skills and overall efficacy.
  • Lead and manage a small group of engineers through all stages of integrated-circuit development, mitigate challenges, ensure high-quality silicon, and meet business schedules.
  • Define input/output-ring protection for the integrated circuit.

Autoware Foundation partners with Renesas to deliver open-source end-to-end AI for ADAS and autonomous driving

The Autoware Foundation has partnered with Renesas Electronics to deliver open-source AI software for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving. Renesas has joined the foundation at its highest membership tier. The collaboration integrates Autoware's end-to-end AI stack with Renesas R-Car system-on-chip platforms. This enables automotive manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers to develop scalable solutions ranging from entry-level L2 driver assistance to L2++ hands-free autopilot and L4 robotaxis. The partnership allows OEMs to customise the Apache 2.0-licensed software for specific vehicles and use cases, offering a flexible alternative to in-house development or commercial solutions. The companies describe this as a watershed moment for the industry, comparing it to Linux's impact on computing. "This is the Linux moment for the ADAS and autonomous driving industry," said Christian John, board director at the Autoware Foundation.

Renesas opens Physical AI & Robotics Lab in Beijing to advance humanoid robot development

Renesas Electronics has opened a Physical AI & Robotics Lab in Beijing to help customers develop and validate next-generation robotic systems. The facility will support the company's physical AI strategy, focusing on systems that perceive, decide and act in real time in physical environments. Physical AI represents AI's evolution beyond digital applications into robotics and other real-world systems. The lab will integrate hardware, software, AI modelling, control, power supply and sensing to support complete solution development. Renesas currently addresses roughly 30% of the humanoid robot bill of materials and aims to expand that to 70%. The company established a Physical AI Division on 1 July 2026 to focus on this growth area. The Beijing lab will serve as a platform connecting customers, ecosystem partners, universities and startups to accelerate robotics innovation in China's thriving robotics market.

TIER IV partners with Renesas to build open AI computing platform for autonomous vehicles

TIER IV is collaborating with Renesas Electronics to build an open AI-native computing platform for software-defined vehicles. The partnership combines TIER IV's Autoware autonomous driving software and reference AI models with Renesas' R-Car Gen 5 automotive system-on-chips. The collaboration aims to deliver scalable solutions spanning Level 2+ advanced driver assistance through Level 4 autonomous driving. TIER IV will port and optimise Autoware on R-Car Gen 5 SoCs and deploy its end-to-end autonomous driving AI models on the platform. The companies will jointly promote this integrated hardware and software platform to automakers and Tier 1 suppliers worldwide. SiTime CEO credits AI data centers for triple-digit revenue growth ahead of Renesas deal
