Requirements
  • Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct student support such as identifying and supporting students in need.
  • Meet with students to develop care plans and follow-up with students to ensure their student success and wellbeing.
  • Serve as a care manager for students in distress.
  • Recommend students of concern directly to the Director.
  • Collect, evaluate, and record all facts pertaining to reports of student of concern.
  • Formulate intervention plans to minimize and/or resolve problems with students of concern.
  • Provide referrals to support services within the university as well as community agencies.
  • Follow up on prior cases to ensure compliance with recommendations.
  • Coordinate efforts for compliance with university mandated-assessment policy for Baker Act and Marchman Act students.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related social/behavioral science field.
  • 1-3 years experience working in a higher education setting or related field.
  • Experience providing support to individuals navigating personal, academic, or social challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including faculty, healthcare providers, and external agencies.
