Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Currently credentialed in Washington State as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, PhD, PsyD
  • Previous experience in mental health settings, particularly crisis intervention or acute mental health services, is highly beneficial.
  • Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills, ability to work under pressure, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Substance Abuse Disorder Professional credentialing preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in Spanish and /or additional languages is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Will counsel individuals and groups to promote optimum behavioral health and will assist individuals dealing with thoughts of suicide, addictions, substance abuse, family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and other similar issues associated with aging and mental/emotional health in the Emergency Department, Acute Care, and Primary Care Setting.
  • Ensure that individuals with mental health crises receive timely and appropriate care, helping to alleviate immediate distress and guiding them toward ongoing support services.
  • Work closely with department leaders and staff to manage and monitor the care of patients.
  • Responsible for coordinating each patient's care, which may come from multiple providers, and ensuring effective treatment plans.
  • Connect patients with relevant healthcare providers, work to educate patients on their conditions, and monitor progress.
  • Provide assessments, screening, and brief therapy.
