Requirements
  • Clearance level: Top Secret SSBI / SCI eligible at time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field
  • 5+ years (level 3) or 8+ years (level 4) of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizen
  • Simulation/scenario development experience
  • Ability to conduct a range of modeling, simulation, and analysis in orbital maneuvers and orbit estimation
  • Expertise in technical disciplines such as orbital propagation and perturbations, orbit estimation, orbital maneuvers, modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Familiarity with astrodynamics tools, including FreeFlyer, System Tool Kit (STK), NASA General Mission Analysis Tool (GMAT), and Orbit Determination Toolbox (ODTBX)
  • Advanced Orbital Mechanics knowledge and experience
Responsibilities
  • Conduct mission and program specific real time satellite flight operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases of the program
  • Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, and command and control of on-orbit satellites
  • Provide technical direction for on-orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions, and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support
  • Support failure analysis and anomaly resolution during on orbit activities as needed
  • Create, manage, and maintain training products to be delivered to customers in support of mission operations
  • Design and develop training material to support automated scenarios, mission exercises, and certification check rides for the customer and internal operations personnel
  • Work with the Mission/Systems Leads to identify training needs and develop training plans and curriculum such as reference guides and evaluation tools
  • Work with mission operations personnel to ensure training curriculum and scenarios accurately represent current operational documentation used during on-orbit checkout, satellite commissioning, and day to day operations
  • Support multiple programs to ensure standardization across the spectrum of missions the Integrated Operations Training Department manages
  • Work with Training Leads and Deputy Training Leads to ensure curriculum is developed and delivered in accordance with contract requirements and timelines
  • Deliver product deliveries including Lesson Plans, PowerPoint Presentations, Training Videos, Hands-on Training Scenarios, Test/Quizzes, Student Guides, Training Plans, and other training material as necessary to support contractual training requirements

  • Web/video based training development experience
  • Lesson plan and test/quiz (original work) development experience within DoD programs
  • Experience utilizing training development tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline 3
  • Experience with agile process / scrum
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Lesson plan development experience
  • Lesson support material development (PPT, Handouts, Student Guides, etc.)
  • Rendezvous and Proximity Operations Mission Planning/Orbital Analyst Experience
