Responsibilities

Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our Application Development team. This is a 10-week program for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or recent CS graduates. The position will be in our Overland Park, KS office.

Responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications in an Enterprise environment
Work alongside internal teams to overcome technical obstacles, answering questions and proposing solutions
Participate in daily standups, user story breakouts, development, and retrospective meetings

Qualifications

Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to participate in collaborative development projects
Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to translate a business scenario into a technical solution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in a computer related field or recently graduated
Exposed to the concepts of an Agile based development methodology or similar formal methodologies are required
Knowledge through coursework in one or more of the following programming languages: C#, JavaScript (React and/or Node), Python, Java, Swift or similar
Graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
Internship runs 6/2/25 through 8/8/25
