Job Description:

Blue Water Thinking is seeking Solution Advisor - Social Work / Behavioral Health to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO). This role a provides Cerner expertise, support, and knowledge transfer sessions to the National/VISN Councils/local workshops, and VA solution experts.

Key responsibilities:

Translate Cerner capabilities and terminology for VA stakeholders in partnership with Solution Experts.
Train VA-assigned solution experts in their respective domains.
Support Solution Management Administrators (SMAs) with task orders and deliverables to ensure timely, accurate completion.
Conduct current-state workflow and requirements analysis.
Contribute to future-state workflow design and diagramming.
Identify workflow risks and pain points.
Manage, escalate, and resolve trouble tickets and change requests.
Support reporting requirements, mapping, and identification.
Develop and execute EHRM testing scripts; support all testing types and events.
Track and mitigate issues and risks with actionable plans.
Collaborate with Oracle Health and VA on build, design, and workflow changes.
Review and refine training manuals and job aids.
Support cutover/go-live planning and provide post go-live assistance.
Develop and review workplans to ensure alignment with program goals.
Provide subject matter expertise in Social Work and Behavioral Health solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of professional work experience
Works independently designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software for a healthcare/clinical environment.
Acts as highest level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics and multiple platforms.
Responsible for project completion.
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering or technical related field, or an additional 10 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the VA
Experience implementing electronic health records
Millennium experience on code levels 2018 or higher
Preferred understanding of Cerner Model recommendations
Analysis and development of Current/Future State workflows required
Experience managing functional validation and end user testing for Cerner (or other EHR) and integrated third party solutions
Able to identify and mitigate risks
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Experience supporting the identification of root causes, courses of actions, and potential solutions to support any major incident or response efforts
Experience leveraging ServiceNow’s out-of-the-box features to customize reports and solutions for clients. Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholder groups to evaluate and escalate tickets
Strong leadership, written/oral communications, analysis, data gathering and organization skills
Experience facilitating reviews, evaluating scenarios for stakeholder impact, and collaborating with Solution Experts to provide recommendations for optimization and effective change

Eligibility:

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s specific combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary range: $115,000 - $130,000
