Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in application support or a similar technical role, including experience supporting applications hosted on cloud platforms.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Information Technology Service Management tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or other ticketing tools.
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting applications built on Java, including Tomcat or JBoss, or the .NET stack.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing rotating on-call support for 24x7 operations.
  • At least 2 years of SQL experience, including building queries, joining tables, and running or creating stored procedures.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future.
  • Proficiency in Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes is required.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence, is required.
  • Applicants must be willing to provide rotating on-call support, including off-hour and weekend support.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to work Central or Pacific Time Zone hours.
Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for production applications.
  • Monitor system health, respond to alerts, diagnose incidents, and drive timely resolution to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Support policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value and minimize risk.
  • Perform regular health checks and proactive monitoring of applications and their underlying Amazon Web Services infrastructure components.
  • Assist with shakeout testing for application patches, upgrades, and new releases to minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Investigate data discrepancies within applications and databases, correct issues, and prevent recurrence.
  • Support data extraction and manipulation for reporting, analysis, and audit purposes using advanced SQL queries across various database platforms.
  • Contribute to special projects, team objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and update knowledge base articles to empower end users and improve first-time resolution rates.
  • Contribute to runbooks and operational guides for supported applications.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support for critical application issues.
  • Respond promptly to alerts and incidents, troubleshooting and resolving problems to minimize business impact.
  • Escalate issues to senior team members or development teams as required.
  • Document on-call activities and resolutions clearly.
  • Coordinate real-time incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive follow-ups such as post-mortems and action items to prevent recurrence.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Command Center experience or experience managing major incident events is desirable.
  • ITIL certification is preferred.
