Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • TWIC
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and able to work independently
  • The role is physically active and often involves traveling to remote sites or working within complex, loud industrial environments; It is described as a detail-oriented, sometimes repetitive, but critical role for environmental protection
  • Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment
  • Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ degrees Fahrenheit, 98% humidity & subzero weather conditions) relative to geographic location
  • Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, chemical & environmental fumes (chemical & fluids), exhaust & highly pressurized fluids
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, climb ladders/scaffolding (up to 300 ft), and lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health & Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies always, & processes & acting in a safe manner
  • Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling & pushing heavy objects
  • Field Inspections: Perform routine, scheduled inspections of components (valves, connectors, pumps, tanks) to detect leaks of volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Monitoring Equipment Operation: Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers (e.g., Flame Ionization Detectors - FID)
  • Data Management & Reporting: Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory within databases like LeakDAS, GuideWare, SkyBridge
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and strict site safety protocols
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs

  • Confined space entry & 10 Hour OSHA Training (preferred)
