- At least two years of building maintenance experience in a large residential or institutional setting working with a special-needs population is required.
- Good interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population is required.
- Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility, including painting, plastering, repairing furniture, maintaining smoke detectors, and maintaining fire extinguishers.
- Perform exterior snow and ice removal and upkeep of the grounds, including sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, rodent removal, and other aspects of building exterior maintenance.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- A New York State driver's license is preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish speaking ability is preferred.

By linking housing, health, justice, and community resources, S:US delivers integrated, place-based services that address multiple barriers at once rather than focusing on a single issue. The goal is to help people lead purposeful lives, improve neighborhoods, and break the cycle of poverty for current and future generations of New Yorkers.
