Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ Experience designing, testing, and debugging switch mode power supplies. Skills including simulation, component selection, and schematic capture
  • Experience with measurement, troubleshooting and debug skills in a lab environment
  • Experience analyzing converter stability, design of control feedback and compensation networks
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (future clearance may be required)
Responsibilities
  • Lead power electronics designs in support of new product development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to produce working prototypes on fast timelines
  • DC/DC conversions
  • Perform hardware bring-up and integration of power electronics circuits and modules and support power conversion systems hardware/software integration
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's or PHD in power electronics
  • Design of high frequency DC/DC converters utilizing Wide Bandgap Semiconductor devices, particularly GaN
  • Experience with high-current, low-voltage point-of-load converter designs for RF systems, processors, etc
  • Experience with low TRL technology development and proposal work
  • Excellent knowledge of small form factor magnetics design
  • Experience with multiple power electronics topologies, including multi-phase buck topologies
  • Experience specifying and programming embedded microprocessors or microcontrollers
  • Experience with full product development process including EMI/EMC testing, certification processes, failure analysis, etc
  • Experience with Size Weight and Power optimization
  • Experience studying emerging technologies and applying them in innovative ways
  • Experience with Power Supply on Chip (PwrSoC)
  • Experience with integrated components and small form factor magnetics
  • Preferred software experience: Altium, LTSpice, MATLAB Simulink
