We are looking for PhD levelscientistto help us ensure the safety of Beauty Care products used by millions of people around the world. This position is for a product safety toxicologist withinourGlobal Product Stewardship (GPS) organization.

In this role you willbe responsible forensuring the safety and safety-compliance of current and future Beauty Care products and their ingredients, globally for our core and acquisition brands. You will partner with your peers and multifunctionalR&D (Research & Development)teams to deliver key technical and business initiatives. General responsibilities include:

Research and Analysis: Conductliteratureresearch and data analysis to investigate the toxicity and potential health effects of substances or product components in isolation or combination.

Risk Assessment:Evaluatepotential risks(including physicaland mechanicalrisks)bydeterminingsafe exposure levels,identifyingpotential routes of exposure, and assessing the likelihood and severity of adverse effects.

Designing Toxicity Testing: Design experiments oroverseestudies to evaluate the toxicity of substances or products.

Data Interpretation and Reporting: Analyzeand interpretstudyfindings andtoxicological data(in vitro,in vivo, in silico, and/or clinical)andsummarizethe results in internal scientific reports.

Regulatory Compliance: Partner withRegulatory Affairs to stayup to dateon relevant regulations and guidelines related to the toxicological evaluation of your product portfolio. As the need arises, you may be tasked with contributing to the development of safety standards and guidelines andprovidingexpert advice to regulatory agencies and industry associations.

Multifunctional Collaboration: Work within a matrix team environment involving technical specialists in engineering, manufacturing, statistics, quality assurance, dentistry, regulations, and project managementto drive business results.

Risk Communication: Effectively communicatethe potential risks andimpactsof your findings to stakeholders to enable informed decision making.

This position is in the Mason Business and Innovation Center (Mason, OH).

Job Qualifications

Required

PhD degree in Life Sciences, Toxicology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or similar discipline
Agility in Project Management: Ability to manage multiple, shifting business priorities and adapt to changes while overseeing various projects.
Research and Analysis: Experience in independent research, risk assessment, report writing, and publishing findings.
Leadership in Environmental Risk Assessment: Proven leadership in applying scientific expertise to complex environmental risk assessments in industrial, governmental, or academic environments.
Effective Communication: Strong skills in communication and partnership to facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Office 365 or similar productivity suites, with comfort in digital collaboration.

Preferred

Experience in computational toxicology, new approach methodologies, or endocrine disruption, as well as knowledge of AI and Machine Learning techniques.

Pay Range: $135,000 - $140,000

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skills, and level of experience.
