Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in SW Development
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++
  • Experience designing, implementing and maintaining production software systems
  • Linux on advanced user level
  • Electrical engineering fundamentals
Responsibilities
  • Develop Waymo internal graph-based simulation framework in C++
  • Improve simulation realism by implementing models of a vehicle and environmental conditions
  • Combine past logged data with the output of the models running in a loop for a more representative simulation
  • Work on Waymo internal real-time software/hardware co-simulation and signal bridging infrastructure for HIL
  • Integrate SIL and HIL simulation with CI/CD pipelines
  • Help triage simulation failures
Desired Qualifications
  • Passion for HIL simulation
  • Embedded programming experience
  • Linux for real-time applications
  • Knowledge of general-purpose and automotive network systems (Ethernet, CAN, etc)
  • Appreciation for design and code aesthetics
  • Familiarity with the building blocks for data-center monitoring systems (databases, dashboards, etc)
