Responsibilities

• Support the smooth operation of the Accounts Payable function, involving processing supplier invoices in Netsuite, ensuring accurate coding and validity, reconciling discrepancies, responding to supplier inquiries and timely payments processing
• Actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes, assisting with preparation of journal entries, maintenance of proper supporting documentation. and the preparation of financial statements, reports and variance analysis.
• Perform credit card and bank reconciliations, reviewing for policy compliance.
• Maintain finance procedures and related process documents.
• Contribute to a team effort and undertakes other special projects as requested.

Requirements

• Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business Administration (Accounting or Finance major preferred) or similar program.
• Working towards all necessary prerequisites for admission into the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA), Professional Education Program (PEP).
• Very high attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator: oral, written, interpersonal
• A growth mindset, self-motivated and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Superb Microsoft Office skills; specifically Excel & PowerPoint.
• Previous accounting related office experience is an asset.
• Must be able to travel to and work from our Toronto Office following a hybrid schedule of up to 4 days a week in office.
