Responsibilities
  • Maintaining an existing book and taking on new business within Aetna International sector 100 or less employee’s Small and Midsize groups.
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships to achieve success.
  • Meets retention and profitability objectives for an assigned book of business.
  • Delivers organized, polished utilization and industry presentations which provide strategic insight and allows for recommendations to meet the client’s long term business goals.
  • Evaluates client's plans to ensure client's needs are being met while showing the value of staying and selecting with Aetna products.
  • Partners with underwriting to meet the clients strategic and financial goals so ensure a successful renewal while maintaining territory retention and profitability objectives.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on emerging trends in the marketplace as the Subject Matter Expert for clients, consultants/ brokers and account teams.
  • Develops a mutually rewarding working relationship with clients, account teams, underwriting and consultants/brokers to ensure client retention.
  • Shares relevant industry and competitive data within and across business units and segments to support the development of new product initiatives.
  • Communicates high level client retention status to management and is knowledgeable about the risk status for all groups in the book of business.
  • Collaborates with team members on case installation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to account management.
