Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is required.
  • Professional Engineer licensure is required.
  • Proficiency in technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software, is required.
  • Ability to manage project portfolios exceeding $250,000 in annual professional fee revenues is required.
  • Experience developing scopes of service and budgets in proposals, with demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably, is required.
  • Experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials is required.
  • Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams to complete engineering tasks, including airspace and earthwork volume calculations, technical report preparation and review, stormwater management system design, leachate collection system design, landfill gas collection system design, geotechnical analyses, and preparation of landfill grading plans, project details, and specifications.
  • Develop proposals, project budgets, and schedules.
  • Manage engineering staff and perform quality control.
  • Interact with clients, contractors, and local and state government officials throughout conceptual and design phases, regulatory review, bidding, and construction.
  • Mentor staff and assist with their professional development.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and establish development goals.
  • Coordinate the regulatory agency review process.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
  • Established clients or contacts in the solid waste client sector are desirable.
  • Participation in client- and professional-development-based organizations is desirable.
