Job Summary
As the Director of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing all supply chain activities within WhiteWater. You will lead a team to ensure the efficient sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of goods and services necessary for our operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for cost optimization, and a strong understanding of the oil and gas industry’s supply chain dynamics. This is an in-office position based out of Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives, ensuring cost-effectiveness, reliability, and sustainability of the supply chain.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to ensure high-quality products/services at competitive prices.
- Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while mitigating risks to the company.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and streamline procurement processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support to drive professional growth and ensure departmental success.
- Proactively assess and mitigate risks related to procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, geopolitical factors, and market volatility, to safeguard business continuity.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities, fostering a culture of integrity and transparency within the department.
- Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to optimize resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing strategic procurement initiatives and driving cost savings.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships, with a deep understanding of procurement best practices and market trends.
- Excellent analytical abilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and make informed decisions to optimize the supply chain.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
