Requirements
  • Two years of building maintenance experience in a large residential or institutional setting working with a special needs population is required.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • New York State Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking is preferred.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility.
  • Paint, plaster, and repair furniture as part of maintenance duties.
  • Maintain smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.
  • Perform exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds.
  • Sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, and rodent removal as part of exterior upkeep.
  • Address all other aspects of the building exterior as needed.
Desired Qualifications
