- Two years of building maintenance experience in a large residential or institutional setting working with a special needs population is required.
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- New York State Driver’s License is preferred.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking is preferred.
- Must possess good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
- Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility.
- Paint, plaster, and repair furniture as part of maintenance duties.
- Maintain smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.
- Perform exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds.
- Sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, and rodent removal as part of exterior upkeep.
- Address all other aspects of the building exterior as needed.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
- New York State Driver’s License preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
