SoundCloud is looking for a passionate, talented, fearless, music-loving FP&A analyst to join the NYC Finance team. You will work as a tactical financial storyteller across our major revenue lines. You’ll enhance our budget-to-actuals reporting and play a key role in our short-term financial planning and budgeting for our long-term financial strategy. 

You will also have the opportunity to drive business strategy by monitoring and identifying financial trends, proposing product ideas, conducting ad-hoc financial analyses, and understanding the financial impact of our user behavior.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Forecast, track, and explain monthly revenue movements across our subscription and ad businesses 
• Partner with key finance leads to aggregate financial and non-financial KPIs to be included in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to the Executive Team and investors, including competitive benchmarking
• Improve financial models for quicker and more automated forecasts 
• Assist the team in defining, developing, and maintaining customer lifetime value calculations
• Monitor and assist with price testing and modeling of price testing impact
• Leverage Oracle Fusion (ERP system) and reporting systems to improve internal monthly management reporting
• Assist in the preparation of fiscal year revenue budgets across our subscription and ad businesses
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to support various financial functions as well as ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making for the organization

Experience and Background: 

• 1+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is a plus
• Expert in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas) 
• Knowledge or experience in financial modeling of a high-growth technology company
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for different audiences
• Data-driven and highly curious about how and why trends move month-to-month
• Databases and Data Analysis (SQL, statistics, etc.) are a plus
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI are a plus
• Passion for music and interest in understanding user behavior and preferences in the music domain
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

The salary range for this role is $67,000-70,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
