- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering, or an equivalent field, from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology-accredited program.
- At least 4 years of related work experience and the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer license.

- Prepare baseline environmental surveys and site assessments.
- Prepare and support National Environmental Policy Act documentation.
- Participate in or lead stormwater planning, design, and permitting projects.
- Participate in or lead Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act feasibility studies, remedial investigations, and remediation design support.
- Write technical reports, perform data analysis, and coordinate with project managers and regulators.
- Direct assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring efficient and timely delivery, client satisfaction, and compliance with scope, quality, and professional standards.
- Complete projects cost-effectively while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Lead technical support personnel and design teams for assigned projects, assume responsibility for design decisions, and validate the work of assigned professional and technical staff.
- Perform conceptual evaluations and design work; validate team-member calculations; select project equipment and materials; and approve manufacturer shop drawings when appropriate.
- Consult with and advise clients regarding methods, equipment, and other project-related matters.
- Maintain regular two-way verbal and written communication with the project manager and client regarding deliverables, concerns, and progress.
- Mentor junior team members by providing guidance and opportunities to broaden their experience and knowledge.
- Occasionally travel as needed.
- A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
