Requirements
  • One year of operational general aviation aircraft maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Certificate, or obtain it within 12 months of hire.
  • Successfully pass a motor vehicle record review and be insurable under Aims insurance for use of a company vehicle.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment post-offer urine analysis.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment post-offer physical evaluation.
Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled aircraft inspections and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, manufacturer service publications, and applicable federal regulations, emphasizing aircraft safety, airworthiness, personnel safety, and quality workmanship.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, operational checks, servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of airframe, powerplant, propeller, electrical, and avionics systems.
  • Perform operational and functional checks after maintenance actions to verify system operation and correction of discrepancies.
  • Identify safety, reliability, and maintenance concerns during routine work and communicate them to the Director of Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Research and investigate solutions to engine, airframe, and associated appliance malfunctions.
  • Support aircraft recovery and troubleshooting outside normal working hours and at off-site locations when assigned.
  • Assist with aircraft cleaning and maintain aircraft interiors and exteriors in clean, orderly, and serviceable condition.
  • Complete detailed aircraft maintenance records, including composing and signing aircraft logbook entries and other required internal documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance records reflect work performed, parts installed or removed, inspections completed, corrective actions, and aircraft status in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Track aircraft hours, inspection intervals, component life limits, and scheduled maintenance items for assigned aircraft.
  • Maintain component traceability records and verify parts tags against maintenance history before installation.
  • Assist with inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair of ground support equipment, including aircraft tugs, jacks, utility vehicles, and ladders.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe hangar facilities, aircraft maintenance areas, workspaces, tool areas, parts storage, and general facility areas.
  • Maintain shared aircraft maintenance tools, test equipment, and specialized tooling in clean, organized, and serviceable condition.
  • Support special projects, aircraft modifications, maintenance improvement initiatives, and audits as operationally required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate's Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Education, or another related field, plus two years of operational general aviation aircraft fleet maintenance experience.
  • Inspection Authorization held by an aircraft mechanic.
  • High-level trade-specific computer skills.
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation.
