Wage Range: $24.00 to $28.00 DOE

Approximate Start & End Date: November 3rd, 2025 – April 26th, 2026

JOB SUMMARY

Ski & Ride School Supervisorsare responsible for overseeing daily lesson operations in one of the two daily lesson areas of the school: the Kid’s Learning Center (KLC), or Private & Adult Group Lessons (PAG). Supervisors in the Kid’s Learning Center will be overseeing an indoor facility where students ages 4-12 years old are dropped off for lessons for a half or full day. They will also be expected to go on snow during lessons to support instructor and student needs that arise while on snow. Oversight of the indoor facility includes managing check-in and check-out processes for students being dropped off and picked up in the Kid’s Learning Center. Supervisors in the Private & Adult Group Lessons area are responsible for setting up the meeting areas, and learning areas, for Private & Adult Group Lessons which meet and end on the snow. They will be accountable to the appropriate assignment of instructors to private lessons and group lessons. They will also be accountable to ensuring group lessons are appropriately organized by skill level and goals in a timely fashion before, and after, the lesson has begun. Like the KLC Supervisors, PAG Supervisors will ski/ride in learning areas during lessons to assist instructors with lesson needs. Both KLC and PAG Supervisors are expected to spend a small portion of each day using the Snowsports School Management software, Flaik, for scheduling instructors for the future day and completing timekeeping. All Supervisors will also be expected to use handheld Flaik scanners at every lineup for tracking the teaching and non-teaching tasks that instructors do for payroll purposes. Lastly, Supervisors will be asked to communicate with the Assistant Director and Director about the training needs they identify while observing instructors teaching

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Follow daily duties checklist provided for your supervisor position

Communicate effectively with the Assistant Director, Director, and Administrative Mgr. about staff training needs, procedural inefficiencies, pay or employee engagement issues, and the midweek “handoff”

Oversee daily set up and take down of the area you’re supervising

Collaboratively solve staff shortages and scheduling conflicts amongst the Supervisor Team and Private Lesson Coordinators

Mentor and train instructors on school policies, practices, lineup responsibilities and verify that they’re following them

Clearly and accurately record class & timekeeping information forinstructors with Flaik scanners, and record iton the payroll sheet for your area

Transfer personal notes about paid tasks done by instructors to the applicable payroll sheet

Facilitate assistance for guests going through the rental shop on busy days

Collect information about student ability level and goals from instructors during lineup

Create appropriate classes based on student abilities, ages, and class size goals

Assign the appropriate instructors to classes and other assignments based on instructor’s experience, confidence, and capabilities

Monitor classes out on the snow. Offer instructors support if necessary and provide feedback on instructor performance.

Facilitate & supervise lunch time if running the Kid’s Learning Center

Monitor performance metrics in Flaikto make operational adjustments necessary to accomplish department financial goals

Act as the point person for guest recovery scenarios occurring in the area you’re supervising

Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Supervisory experience in a Snowsports school.

Prior experience working with children

Level 2 PSIA/AASI certification preferred with children-specific training experience

Ability to create and implement ideas for great youth experiences on snow.

Ability to effectively delegate to a team, or be delegated to, in order to carry out all necessary operational activities (not attempting to do everything yourself)

Five years plus experience in Snowsports operations preferred.

Must have experience in Microsoft Office products.

Experience with Flaik Snowsports Management Tool is preferred

Exceptional customer service and communication skills at all levels.

Leadership skills with the ability to assess, motivate and train staff.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may berequired to work evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.

Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis.

Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.

Auditory and visual acuity to communicate with computers, phones, and mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.

Ability to work for extended periods of time while on skis/snowboard.

Able to spend long periods outside without breaks in a variety of weather conditions. (Minimum 2 hours)
