Requirements
  • Supervisory experience in a Snowsports school.
  • Prior experience working with children
  • Level 2 PSIA/AASI certification preferred with children-specific training experience
  • Ability to create and implement ideas for great youth experiences on snow.
  • Ability to effectively delegate to a team, or be delegated to, in order to carry out all necessary operational activities (not attempting to do everything yourself)
  • Five years plus experience in Snowsports operations preferred.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with Flaik Snowsports Management Tool is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills at all levels.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to assess, motivate and train staff.
Responsibilities
  • Follow daily duties checklist provided for your supervisor position
  • Communicate effectively with the Assistant Director, Director, and Administrative Mgr. about staff training needs, procedural inefficiencies, pay or employee engagement issues, and the midweek 'handoff'
  • Oversee daily set up and take down of the area you’re supervising
  • Collaboratively solve staff shortages and scheduling conflicts amongst the Supervisor Team and Private Lesson Coordinators
  • Mentor and train instructors on school policies, practices, lineup responsibilities and verify that they’re following them
  • Clearly and accurately record class & timekeeping information for instructors with Flaik scanners, and record it on the payroll sheet for your area
  • Transfer personal notes about paid tasks done by instructors to the applicable payroll sheet
  • Facilitate assistance for guests going through the rental shop on busy days
  • Collect information about student ability level and goals from instructors during lineup
  • Create appropriate classes based on student abilities, ages, and class size goals
  • Assign the appropriate instructors to classes and other assignments based on instructor’s experience, confidence, and capabilities
  • Monitor classes out on the snow. Offer instructors support if necessary and provide feedback on instructor performance
  • Facilitate & supervise lunch time if running the Kid’s Learning Center
  • Monitor performance metrics in Flaik to make operational adjustments necessary to accomplish department financial goals
  • Act as the point person for guest recovery scenarios occurring in the area you’re supervising
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Level 2 PSIA/AASI certification preferred with children-specific training experience
  • Five years plus experience in Snowsports operations preferred
  • Experience with Flaik Snowsports Management Tool is preferred
