Requirements
  • Bachelor degree and 10 years Technology experience with extensive technical breadth OR 14 years Information Technology experience with extensive technical experience; 8 of those years in Mainframe specific Technology.
  • 4 years of progressive management and/or leadership in technical areas.
  • Technical knowledge & understanding of Mainframe Components (zOS, MQ, CICS, DB2, Performance & Capacity Management etc).
  • Technical knowledge & understanding of Scheduling Tools such as Control M.
  • Technical Knowledge & understanding of peripheral components such as Mainframe Storage, VTL etc.
  • Experience in driving cost optimization initiatives (MIPS Reductions/SW Rationalization etc).
  • Vendor and IT sourcing management, customer relationship management and strong customer service orientation.
  • Problem solving / analytical skills, tools and techniques.
  • Well versed in Organizational Change management and conflict management in high pressure situations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust with customers and partners at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive cross-functional execution and leverage a lean operating model.
  • Adaptability and ability to introduce / manage change.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership & governance oversight to services delivered by outsourcing partners.
  • Develop and lead Mainframe Engineering core capabilities.
  • Responsible for Mainframe Architectural changes and ensuring platform resiliency & future state readiness.
  • Ensure Mainframe Infrastructure uptime for all business-critical applications.
  • Drive efficiencies & cost optimization initiatives to optimize Mainframe Platform cost.
  • Drive & lead complex project initiatives aimed at software rationalization and stabilization.
  • Lead and drive best practices across Mainframe infrastructure footprint.
  • Stay abreast of future technologies and industry trends.
