The Opportunity:

Euna Solutions is seeking a ColdFusion Software Developer to join the Euna Grants development team.  This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using ColdFusion technologies. The Software Developer will work on both the front-end and back-end of the application, ensuring seamless integration of the various components.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain web applications using ColdFusion technologies.
2. Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents. Perform coding to written technical specifications that adhere to the coding standards, design guidelines and best practices.
3. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
4. Work with cross-functional teams to determine requirements and design specifications.
5. Troubleshoot and debug issues with the application.
6. Investigate, analyze, and correct the reported defects.
7. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in web development.
9. Develop and maintain automated unit tests to ensure the quality of the codebase.
10. Participate in Agile development methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development using ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
• Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of CFML frameworks (e.g., ColdBox, Mach-ii) or Lucee
• Strong experience with database design and management using SQL (Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL).
• Experience consuming popular RESTful APIs from CFML and serving RESTful web services
• Knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django and Flask.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or any other web technologies like jQuery, Node.js, or AngularJS
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Agile development working within JIRA, Confluence & Microsoft Teams
• Experience and knowledge in security and OWASP best practices is a plus
• Knowledge of DevOps culture and practices, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github), and IaC (Teraform) is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Location:

This position will be hybrid 3 days a week at our beautiful Oakville, ON office.
