Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Information Systems (or equivalent professional certification and work experience)
  • 5+ years of full-stack or backend web platform software engineering experience
  • Proven track record of successfully designed, implemented and production-tested platform initiatives
  • Expert in automated testing tooling and practices development and tooling experience
  • Solid experience in automated testing tooling and practices, expert level contribution to robust and comprehensive test coverage
  • Software engineering and tooling proficiency: C#, .NET, Visual Studio, Git, Angular, purpose-built databases: relational (prefer PostgreSQL and SQL Server), document, key-value
  • Experience supporting, evolving and modernizing large codebases with complex dependencies
  • SOA practitioner with experience designing and implementing event-driven, resilient, scalable and performing solutions
  • Working knowledge of security protocols, modern identity management and access control
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred), build and deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Experience designing and deploying solutions in the public cloud - prefer AWS with a focus on server-less
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and technical initiatives
  • Solid communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain platform-level solutions per Edmentum Technology strategy and in alignment with platform architecture
  • Promote team autonomy designing a system that supports comprehensive ownership of services from inception to production
  • Participate in R&D and infuse new technologies, build POCs, and reference implementations
  • Design, implement, and evangelize dev-testing practices and frameworks, including but not limited to unit, functional, integration, contract, e2e, and scaling behavior coverage
  • Promote and assist product-aligned delivery teams in adopting new platform capabilities
  • Promote open, frequent, and transparent communication practices - maintain impeccable documentation and artifacts, review, evangelize, champion decisions, solicit feedback
  • Analyze and provide feedback on technical feasibility, cost, and alternative solutions
  • Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and changes as early as possible
  • Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical issues, inefficiencies, and customer escalations
  • Continuously expand understanding of Edmentum Learning Framework product functionality and architecture
  • Consult, guide, and mentor Software Engineers, contribute to design, code, infrastructure, and test coverage reviews
  • Handle other software design, development, and maintenance responsibilities as determined necessary
