Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots with a global customer base tackling some of the toughest robotics applications. In this professional track position, you will join the Software Support Team to help customers work with Spot and its highly technical products, payloads, and software. This role is for take-charge problem solvers who enjoy demonstrating expertise and interacting with customers.
Meet Spot: A quadruped robot for automated sensing, inspection, and exploring without boundaries.
Provide expert technical support:
Reporting directly to the Software Support Lead, you will take ownership for resolving customer issues in a short time and gathering data to support Engineers, learning the Spot robot and technical documentation, and supporting the mission of excellent service for Spot customers.
Responsibilities:
Field support chat, email, and/or other communication from customers
Consult with customers to determine procedures for identifying and fixing problems
Apply knowledge of robot user interface and technical documentation
Guide users through diagnostic processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and written instructions
Collaborate with Support Engineers to provide troubleshooting data
Maintain knowledge of technology innovations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications or equivalent experience:
Associates degree
Quickly learns computer hardware and software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences
