Seeking Accountant - Standard candidates with relevant Defense, And Security Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Defense, And Security Sector Clients such as DEA.  This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Professional, Technical and Administrative Support Services (PTASS) (Accountant - Standard) in the Defense, And Security Industry Sector focusing on Human Capital Solutions for clients such as Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) | Department of Justice Located In  and across the CONUS Region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Accountant - Standard | Comprehensive Operational Support [DEA0002007]

Develops and implements performance measures for quality control in accounting practices involving daily and weekly duties related to processing, balancing and reporting of data in MS Access databases; balancing and reconciling net paid-outs and check issued reports. Provides oversight for timely analysis and accounting of capitation and interest expense, the reconciliation of related general ledger accounts, accounting for all reinsurance contracts, the testing and balancing of the financial software systems, and ensuring proper internal controls.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For Accountant - Standard | Comprehensive Operational Support [DEA0002007] (DEA0002007) Candidates:

Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Have initiative and strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificates a plus. Advanced PC skills (Microsoft Excel and Access) required.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Requires four to 6 years of related experience.

Skills Required

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced Excel functions, and experience with financial reconciliation and quality control in accounting practices.

Competencies Required

Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
