Responsibilities
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain a financial commitment from patients to start the dentistry diagnosed by the Dentist.
  • Achieve proficiency in PDS systems and tools to assist patients in making decisions suited to their wants and needs.
  • Execute the Healthcare Coordinator handoff in partnership with each clinician for every examination patient.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on available financial options and give patients choices that fit their budgets.
  • Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations before patients complete treatment.
  • Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model and manages referrals outside the office.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.
  • Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework and demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand.
  • Become knowledgeable about the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business is preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial drivers, metrics, local market drivers, and competition is preferred.
  • The ability to set realistic goals, meet commitments, remain persistent, and prioritize daily work to achieve results is preferred.
  • The ability to be flexible, adaptive, empathetic, passionate, ethical, and focused on patient advocacy is preferred.
  • The ability to make data-driven decisions and maintain comprehensive knowledge of operational processes is preferred.
