Requirements
  • M.A. or M.S. in Communication, Mass Communication, or equivalent degree
  • MBA with industry experience in public relations
  • 1 to 3 years of teaching experience in post-secondary education
Responsibilities
  • Instructors will be responsible for the full delivery and grading of the course.
  • The instructor is responsible for responding to student course inquiries through electronic mail, phone call, or in-person, and posting final grades in a timely manner.
  • The course sections and modalities will be determined by the department chair.
  • Position responsibilities include course preparation and teaching either a traditional in-person or online asynchronous course section of one or two of the following public relations courses: Introduction to Public Relations (CMS 201); Public Relations: Cases & Campaigns (CMS 301); Social Media Storytelling (CMS 320); Public Relations: Special Topics: Crisis Communication (CMS 335); Public Relations: Special Topics: Media Relations (CMS 335); Public Relations: Special Topics: Digital Communication and Social Media Optimization (CMS 335).
