Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cleanliness, safety, and organization standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to respond to guest needs in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Ability to lift, bend, push carts, and remain on one's feet for extended periods.
  • Understanding of hospitality-level presentation and luxury standards.
  • Ability to move safely across uneven terrain and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of medium work, including occasionally exerting up to 40 pounds of force, frequently exerting up to 20 pounds, and constantly moving up to 10 pounds; may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of guest hallways, elevators, stairwells, public restrooms, service areas, the main guest entrance, and adjacent plaza areas.
  • Restock linen closets and housekeeping carts with supplies and amenities.
  • Deliver requested items such as towels, cribs, rollaway beds, irons, ironing boards, microwaves, refrigerators, and other amenities to guest rooms.
  • Remove dirty linens, trash, recycling, garbage, and room-service dishes from guest floors, offices, and service areas, and place waste in the appropriate bins or compactor area.
  • Report maintenance issues or unusual conditions in assigned areas to the supervisor.
  • Follow property cleaning procedures, chemical-handling standards, safety protocols, work rules, standards of conduct, meal-break policies, and payroll procedures.
  • Assist with deep cleaning and floor care.
  • Process and scan clean and soiled rooms and food-and-beverage linen and terry using the radio-frequency identification scanning system.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of housekeeping storage rooms, closets, locker rooms, offices, restrooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests and inquiries, answer questions, and direct guests to requested areas.
  • Support Room Attendants and Housekeepers with room readiness and guest service, including moving beds, mattresses, furniture, racks of linens, and equipment.
  • Respond properly during hotel emergency or safety situations.
  • Remove snow, leaves, cigarette butts, and other debris; maintain lobby and rain mats; salt entrances, streets, employee entrances, and plaza areas during inclement weather.
  • Perform shoeshine duties as requested.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, equipment, carpet, marble, upholstery, and office spaces as assigned.
  • Deliver and remove flowers and other amenities.
  • Perform assigned tasks or projects and provide housekeeping support during absences or periods of heavy volume.
  • Use equipment, materials, chemicals, property-management systems, applications, and other computerized applications as required.
  • Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of housekeeping or janitorial experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual Spanish and English ability.
