Requirements
  • An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • Seven or more years of bookkeeping experience, including experience managing staff, is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounting principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state payroll laws.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an outsourced accountant for clients and handle their day-to-day accounting functions, including complex accounting and payroll needs.
  • Manage client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional services.
  • Manage accounting service department team members in the local market.
  • Manage accounting projects to meet client needs within specified time frames.
  • Work closely with clients to assess general accounting needs.
  • Prepare complex reports, returns, and other documents, including sales tax reports, year-end tax forms, financial statements, and other client-required reports.
  • Calculate and review period-end journal entries, analyze balance sheet accounts, and provide guidance to clients.
  • Complete the period-end process for clients.
  • Code and complete data entry for bank statements and other bookkeeping transactions.
  • Reconcile client bank accounts.
  • Provide mentoring and technical training for employees in the accounting services department.
  • Perform client billings for accounting services provided.

  • A valid Certified Public Accountant license.
